A Class, "A" Amplifier is needed with the following specification:

Collector Current = 5mA

Needed offset voltage across RE= 2V

Lowest input Frequency = 50Hz

Use a BC108B Transistor which has typical parameters:

hfe = 50, VBE = 0.5V, VCE= 4V

 

1. Sketch the schematic diagram of the amplifier

2. Explain how you a Voltage Gain at 1kHz and what is the value for your circuit?

3. What is meant by capacitive coupling?, why is it used and how have you achieved this in your circuit?
