Can we post view state in another application?, DOT NET Programming

You can post back to any of the page and pages in other application, too. But if you are posting pages to other application, the PreviousPage property will return null. This is an absolute restriction, as it means that if you want to use the view state, you are confined, for e.g., to posting to pages in the similar virtual directory. Even so, this is a highly acceptable addition to the functionlity of the ASP.NET.
