In the illustration of object demonstrated in Figure 25, the designing is done by utilizing a rotational sweep. Now there, the periodic spline cross-section is rotated regarding to an axis of rotation identified in the plane of the cross-section to make the wireframe.  Any axis can be selected for a rotational sweep. Whether we utilize a rotation axis perpendicular to the plane of the spline cross-section, in the figure (b) where we produce a two-dimensional shape.
