Some art museums & collections describe contemporary art as including all art since the end of World War II more particularly since the year of 1945. In the late year of 1960s and the 1970s, Land art, Conceptual art, Performance art, and other new art forms had attracted the attention of curators & critics, at the cost of more traditional media. Larger installations & performances became widespread.
