Are heat fuses necessary?
The working temperature range of the fiber optics ordinary end is critical if the performance of the system is to be kept and the life guaranteed. A heat fuse of thermostat should be installed in this way as to disconnect the illuminator must there be a heat build up. Heat can accumulate quickly for a number of reasons: obstructions on the air passages or poor ventilation or may be a failed fan. A 500C thermostat must be the most adequate. This must be borne in mind that the ambiance temperatures wherein illuminators should operate seldom permit more than 250C, a very low temperature to keep in most instances.
