Apply kinetic molecular theory to solutions, Chemistry

Assignment Help:

Q. Can we apply Kinetic Molecular Theory to Solutions?

Ans.

The Kinetic Molecular Theory can also be applied to solutions. A solution is a distribution of one or more substances in another substance.

The dissolved substance (the solute) is separated into molecules, atoms, or ions. These dissolved substances are distributed throughout the solvent.

A gaseous solution is similar to a pure gas except that the molecules, or atoms, are of different kinds. It is assumed that the particles are independent of one another.
