Estimating the Value of a Series
One more application of series is not actually an application of infinite series. It's much more an application of partial sums. Actually, we've already seen this application in use once in this section. In the Estimating the Value of a Series we employed a partial sum to calculate the value of a series. We can do similar thing with power series and series representations of functions. The major variation is that we will now be using the partial sum to approximate a function in place of a single value.
