Applications of seam welding

Lap seam welding is used for the manufacture of cans, buckets and water tanks and for welding thin walled large diameter pipes.

Mash seam welding Is used in barrels, fridge and cabinets where flash butt welding appearance Is required. Foil butt welding is used for large panels. Resistance butt welding is used for large panels. Resistance butt welding is employed for making ERW tubes. Here, the shunting effect is taken care of by high frequency heating.

High frequency seam welding is suitable for finned tubes and other tubings.
