Installing FLUENT on a MWS machine Fluent was originally developed on unix and graphical output was provided by calls to the X Windows graphics system For this reason provided by calls to the X Windows graphics system. For this reason Exceed needs to be installed for Fluent to run. Exceed is a MS windows program that provides an X Windows environment on your PC. 

You should install the latest version of Exceed before you install Fluent. This can be done, after logging on to the MWS, from the Start menu (bottom left of the MWS screen). 

Start | Install | Internet | Exceed 9 (local version)

Start menuStart | Network | Engineering | Fluent v6.2 The installation process sets up program menu items for Fluent and some The installation process sets up program menu items for Fluent and some environment variables on the PC. It is advisable to reboot your PC to establish the environment variables.
