2 degree freedom of system, Mechanical Engineering

Assignment Help:
A mechanical System (two degrees of freedom system) is represented by the following two differential equations:
m1x"1+(k1+k2)x1-k2x2=0
m2x"2-k1x1+(k2+k3) x2=0

Given m1=m2=0.5kg, k1= k2=400N/m, x1(0)=x2(0)=0 and x''1(0)=0 , x''2 (0) =0 determine:
1. The Laplace Transform of the two equations.
2. The solution X1(s) and X2(s).
3. The solution x1(t) and x2(t) using Laplace inverse.
4. Plot the results x1(t) and x2(t) using MATLAB.
5. The solution x1(t) and x2(t) using SIMULINK
