Over the last few weeks we have examined different features of American labor law. Law though is only as strong as solidarity of workers. That is, law can't be substitute for collective action of workers, at work and in their communities. Furthermore, as we have examined in discussions, the law alone is no guarantee of rights of workers. As Senator Robert Wagner wrote: "Democracy can't work unless it is honoured in factory also in polling booth; workers can't truly be free in body and spirit unless their freedom extends into places where they earn their daily bread." (1935) Drawing on reading of NLRA write down the weaknesses of current labour legislation? Be precise. What requires to be done to make sure, as Wagner stated, workers are "truly free in body and spirit."
