A group of 9 female hockey players did a strength test on an isokinetic dynamometer to assess the strength of their hamstrings at various angles of knee flexion (from 90 degrees where the knee is bent at 90 degrees to 30 degrees, which is close to full knee extension). These data are presented as PRE. Then we then given Creatine for 4 weeks while doing their normal training, and were retested after (data presented as POST).
Strength data are presented relative to players' body mass (i.e., 0.30 means 30% of their body mass).
The aim of the study was to investigate if strength was different at different knee angles, and also if it was different between pre- and post-creatine supplementation.
