OUTLINE
INTRODUCTION paragraph
Identifies and illustrates the problem (Hook + connecting information). It indicates why it is mponant, how widespread it is and what effects it has on people or institutions.
Thesis statement (briefly reiterates the problem and claims that there is a solution). BODY paragraphs
Body paragraphs 1 and 2: Each paragraph begins with a topic sentence and analyses the nature and extent of the problem and provides statistics, quotes, and other data to support the analysis.
Body paragraph 3: It provides a smooth transition from the problem to the solution. It also explains how the proposed solution responds to the problem, and provides examples, facts, and figures on why the proposed solution will (or might) work. An example could be a list of specific actions to take to avoid or solve the problem.
CONCLUSION paragraph
Restates the main idea of the introductory paragraph and provides a call to action in which the reader is asked to become part of the solution or at least allow others to carry it out.
