This will be demonstrated by using information about an early childhood topic to communicate a message to a member of Congress.
In President Obama's 2013 State of the Union Address, he called upon Congress to expand access to high-quality preschool for every child in America. He proposed investments that support a continuum of early learning opportunities from birth to age 5.
For this assignment, write a letter to a local member of Congress asking him or her to support one of the following topics: Preschool Development Grants Early Learning Communities Race to the Top: Early Learning Challenge Your letter should use an appropriate tone for communicating with a member of Congress.
Your call to action must also include appropriate advocacy for diverse individuals. Make sure that your letter is formatted correctly using block letter format.
