A space shuttle, in a 300km high orbit, releases a 100 kg payload attached by a 10 km long massless rope.  Assuming initial motions of lowering payload have damped out and the shuttle and payload are flying in steady state conditions.  What is the anlge of the rope as measured from a line drawn from the center of the earth through the payload? What is the tension in the rope?
