A hair dryer is a constant diameter duct containing an electrical resistor. A small fan pushes air through the duct past the resistor and the air is heated when electrical current flows through the resistor. If the room temperature is 15C and the temperature of the air exiting the hair dryer is 50C, what is the percent increase in the air velocity as it passes through the dryer.
