Question: A solid uniform disk is mounted with frictionless bearings ont a stationary horizontal axle that passes through the center of the disk. The disk hass a moment of inertia I=3.0 kgm2 for rotation about the axle and radius R=0.4m. The disk is initially at rest, and then at t=0 a constant force F=5 N is applied tangential to the rim of the disk.

Part I: What is the magnitude of the angular acceleration of the disk?

Part II: Starting from rest, how many revolutions does the disk turn through in 5 seconds?

Part III: What is the linear speed v of a point on the rim of the disk after the disk has turned through 2 revolutions?
