Millions of people around the world suffer from deficiencies in amount and nutritional composition of food. Surprisingly, dietary disorders of persons in affluent countries result from "too much of good things" (or "good tasting things"). What are the consequences of the American diet? Do you think obesity is a serious concern in our country? Why or why not?

Don't forget to back up your arguments with properly cited references

Although some of these forums discuss your own experiences, it is important to keep in mind with each organ system that you want to delve into the anatomy and physiology as much as you can. Learn something new and bring it back for the class. Think about what is happening in the cells. Change your view and imagine yourself as a cell. What does diet and nutrition mean to your ability to function? Break each system down into the smallest pieces and it will start to make sense.

Next, formulate a scientific discussion. This depends on references that support your point of view. Use these references in the forums to make the best discussion possible and to learn the best form for citation and listings. Try both traditional and internet reference format, if you can.
