Thinking about Retirement

Think about your own retirement. In a 5 paragraph essay of at least 500 words, answer some or all of these questions:

Do you expect to retire at a certain age? How much preplanning will you need to do? Do you expect to retire to a life of leisure, volunteer activity, new career, and so on? Where will you live-same family home, retirement community, part of the year in the north and part in a southern resort? Do you expect to be active grandparents/great-grandparents or somewhat disengaged from your offsprings' families? What are your overall impressions of retirement-is it positive, neutral, or negative? Why? Use at least two references to support your assumptions.

I need you to answer this questions in no less than 500 words. You need to use APA style and two sources are required, the book needs to be one of them. Please make sure that the document is original and does not contain any copied and pasted parts. I will check its originality before accepting it, so please make sure it is right.

This is the class book:

Dacey, J. S., Travers, J. F. & Fiore, L. (2008). Human development across the lifespan. McGraw Hill Publishing.

Please read chapter 18. The link to the chapter is below, let me know if you were able to open it or not.

My short answers to the questions are:

I expected to retire between age 60 and 65.

I am planning to retire from the army so i will  be receiving my retirement money, then I plan to work with the government for another 10 to 15 years, as long as i am healthy.

I want to retire to a life of leisure. ( i want to travel and enjoy my retirement with my husband)

It is too early to say where i will be living , but i am planning to live in my own house.

I expect to be an active grandparent. I love children and want to be  part of my grandchildren's life.

My overall impression of retirement is positive. You work for so many years so you deserve to relax and enjoy the last years of your life doing what you really want. I would have enough financial security so I plan to enjoy life.

Elaborate the answers form there.
