Write a very sustantive essay in 400 WORDS.

Romanticism has very little to do with things popularly thought of as "romantic," although love may occasionally be the subject of Romantic art. Romantic is defined as "a preoccupation with love or by the idealizing of love". Romanticism is an international artistic and philosophical movement that redefined the fundamental ways in which people in Western cultures thought about themselves and about their world. If we are talking about literature and art, the romanticist style emphasizes imagination, emotion, and introspection, and often celebrates nature, the ordinary person, and freedom of the spirit. Music is a little bit different. Romanticist music is marked by the free expression of imagination and emotion, experimentation with form, and the adventurous development of different styles. In other words, it is difficult to pin down everything about romanticism. How did romanticism differ from the social and artistic thought of the 18th century?

What was the relationship between romanticism and nationalism?
