Using the three concepts from the expectancy theory (expectancies, instrumentality, valence) and learning styles (visual, aural, reading/writing, kinesthetic) discuss how these can be used to increase the motivation of these employees in the orientation session.

What activities, discussions, presentations, etc. might be conducted that would increase the likelihood that employees will exert high levels of effort toward achieving work-related goals, i.e. doing their jobs to standard, showing up for work on time, etc.?
