Final Assignment : Consider Chap. 15-16 Expanding HR Horizons and Implementing Strategy in your project. Throughout this course you have been provided a comprehensive overview of Human Resource Management. We've explored methods of how organizations gain sustainable advantage by recruiting, selecting, developing and effectively managing a flexible, highly skilled and diverse workforce.

You have reviewed the development of a functional and practical understanding of HR programs and their overall impact to employees, organizations and the community. In this, your final project, you will apply in summary the information you have gained from the class discussions, text and previous Signature Assignments to a practical plan for solving the organization's current and near future challenges.

Background: You are the newly hired HR vice president for a top company in the Bay Area of CA that is forecasting accelerated expansion in their organization within the next three years. The organization has enjoyed considerable growth over the past year, and as a result of this growth, the demands, expectations and workload have increased significantly. Additionally, in 2018 they are expecting a mass exit of the Baby Boomer generation due to the change in Retirement benefits in January of 2019, representing a significant portion of the current workforce.

In being consistent with the organization's mission, vision and goals, your CEO has given a directive to you and your HR team to strategically ensure the organization is prepared for the acquisition and influx of new employees, the exiting of experienced human capital, and the preparation and support of employees and management through the organizational changes. This will require the team to research, strategize and hire while ensuring training/development for top current talent and new hires. Further, the systems such as benefits and compensation packages need to be appropriate, and managers need to be prepared for their own expanding responsibilities and organizational changes.

Assignment: Building from your Signature Assignments 1, 2 and 3:

1. Write a 5-8 page paper (APA Format) summarizing the processes you will take to accomplish your directive (indicated above). Ensure that you have included: a. Mission, Vision, and Goals b. Strategies c. HR departments you will ensure are included in the organization d. Include concepts you have learned throughout this course.

2. In addition to your written report create a Power Point presentation to highlight your paper/organization (An overview of your paper - 3-6 slides)
