The Skateworld Company operates ice rinks in several major cities throughout the United States. During each session of open skating, one customer is selected at random to receive a free pass for a future open skating session. At a recent session there were 150 males and 130 females skating.

What is the probability that the person selected for the free pass will be female?

Referring to part 1, what method of probability assessment is used to determine the probability?

Suppose the company decides to give free passes to two separate customers. Are the events that a female received the first pass and a male received the second pass independent? Why or Why not?
