An advertising campaign consists of a series of advertisements placed in media over time. While ads may be placed in different media, all will have the same look, feel, and message. Think about one of the following products:

  • A new brand of toothpaste
  • Your local city or state
  • Your school

Select only one product from above. Assume that you are developing an advertising campaign for the product. Outline how you would develop the campaign by answering each of the following four (4) questions.

  1. Explain one or two types of advertising appeals you would use and why.
  2. Describe the main message you will seek to communicate using these appeals.
  3. Describe at least two types of media that you would use (be sure to include at least one print and one broadcast medium). Support your choices.
  4. How you will develop the ads so that they will have the same look and feel for your campaign?
