For the this assessment you must 1- detailing the scientific knowledge relating to altered health states. 2- Answers should cover the genetic, tissue, cellular, molecular and biochemical aspects of the disorder and should also touch upon diagnostic and treatment options where applicable. 3- Reviews should use prose and annotated figures with appropriate legends can be used to aid clarity. 4- Max word count in review topic 750 words excluding references, figures, tables and short legends (i.e. 1500 words per submission). 5- Figures should be hand drawn rather than lifted directly from sources as this shows a greater understanding of the topic. 6- All references should be cited in Harvard 7- . Marks will be deducted for reviews that exceed the word limit and the total word count should be detailed at the end of each review. Please read this section carefully to avoid mistakes Common mistakes Not reading the assessment brief. Presenting topics that do not relate to the lectures. This is supposed to be based on areas from the lectures not the tutorials. Ask if in doubt. Exceeding the word count of 750 words the brief does not state ± 10%. Write in a clear concise manner and make use of tables and hand-drawn figures to add depth and clarity. Please note tables should be concise. Not producing figures by hand and not giving figures a legend. You need to explain the relevance of your figure to the reader. Lack of depth in the content. You should be aiming to use as much primary literature relating to the topic as possible. Not supporting statements with an in-text citation. You need to support your statements with a citation in the text and this should then be detailed correctly in the reference list. This should be in the Harvard style. Don't use websites as a source. Not proof-reading your work before submitting. There is no excuse for not submitting a page of text or the wrong draft. Check you are submitting the latest draft in full! Not covering all of the areas relevant to the topic.
