Some experts assert that relationships between minority groups and the police are strained. This can be seen in cases that have to deal with minorities being profiled by police agencies. For example, if African American drivers are stopped for questioning by police at a higher frequency than other ethnic groups, a bogus charge of "Driving While Black" (DWB) is said to be in effect. Such practices have helped to fuel the distrust between minority groups and the police.
