Abstract:

Socioeconomic programs are specially designed programs of the government to promote the welfare of the public at large. These are designed specially to help people who are disabled, dependent children, women, old-age people and families with no father of the families who are living in poverty. These programs are based on the Small Business Act when amended.The government of United States declared in the section 8(d) of the act that according to the policy of the United States the small businesses must be provided with the maximum opportunity that has a practicable applicability also.With this opportunity the government is giving the small businesses a platform with which the small businesses can easily participate in contracts which are proposed by any federal agency.

These contracts include contracts, sub-contracts, components and any other related services. The basic motive of these socio-economic programs is of fostering the spirit of healthy competition that can further result in the economic well being and security of the country. This motive of socioeconomic programs cannot be achieved without giving potential opportunities to grow and develop to small businesses by increasing their motivation through public relief programs to various under-developed or underestimated people of the country. This objective of development of every section of the society is not possible without the combined efforts of Federal government, state government and also the local governments.
