Mangers have the primary responsibility in most decision making process. However, if they involve employees, the decisions made can be more effective. Employees can help in any step of the decision making process, from problem identification through follow-up. While this takes more time, it can raise morale and develop the employees' decision making skills.

Identify a major decision you have made in your life. For example, why did you decide to go to college? Why did you choose the college you selected? How did you select a major?

Explain how you applied the steps in the decision making process. What other factors might you have considered?
