Design Problem

The goal of this project is to design a combined cycle power plant to provide 1000 MW of power. The gas turbine(s) should be selected from the list provided. The design can include multiple gas turbines, but due to conformity, select only one type of gas turbine. Provide a table that lists the thermodynamic states of the steam cycle portion of the plant including the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). Also, provide the combustion gas temperatures throughout the HRSG. Natural gas will be used as the fuel for the facility. Determine the amount of fuel necessary for the gas turbine(s) and any other combustion processes that are used. Also, determine the steam flow rate necessary for the design. Provide the efficiency of the combined cycle facility. For the steam portion of the plant, assume turbine and pump efficiencies of 85 percent. The maximum and minimum pressures for the steam cycle portion should be 3000 and 2 psia, respectively.

Prepare a detailed report describing your design and illustrating it with relevant, carefully prepared figures. A full discussion and professional caliber figures are expected.
