Flamephotometric determination of sodium is based on the measurement of the absorbance, A, on three standard solutions with known concentration of sodium ions:

Data: ([Na+]; A): (0.10mM; 0.520)-(0.20mM; 0.705)-(0.40mM; 0.950). Plot the standard curve using the figure to the right:

A solution is prepared from 34.0 mg of sodium bromide (M=102.9g/mol) dissolved in water (V=100 ml). This solution is out of the measuring range and needs to be diluted.

Suggest how many times this solution should be diluted to give a concentration within the measuring range. Predict the absorbance (A) of the this diluted solution.
