Investigate and report on two companies. Choose one which has always adhered to policy of internal innovation and second which has obtained technology many times through external means as detailed in prior units. Distinguish the two approaches from context of:

Overall Portfolio Management

Associate them all back to company's success or lack thereof and let individual contribution each of these individual components has on result. In both companies, consider if their approach is sustainable or if they require to change any of their methods applied in these four categories. Also let if they require to switch between internal and external innovation overall.

Write your ideas as complete set of suggestions for company both estimating their past performance and giving future suggestions. Also incorporate consideration of present events (macroeconomic, competition, etc.) when making suggestions.
