Write a paper on Violence in Nursing Workplace

Discussion

Although healthcare sector is not considered one of the violent worksand due to that fact, WPV is considered an under-reported dilemma in hospitals and when it occurs in nursing it is addressed as a normal aspect of nursing work.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the nonfatal attack rate towards nurses reached 31.1 per 10000 workers as paralleled to the entire private sector that had a rate of 2.8 per 10000 workers, which is considered the highest amongst healthcare workers.

This shows the seriousness and yet the lack of proper management of problem in nursing profession(Child &Mentes, 2010).
