The activity I chose was planning a thank you event for NYPD for participation in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Brooklyn. 1) obtain location to host party (it should be done in 3 days and work with the captains to ensure a location). 2) Decide on the structure. It was an awards ceremony with a short presentation (1 day). 3) Send out invitations to NYPD participants (1 day. The wording must be approved by the captains first, as well as the invitee list). It is sent out by email. 4) create the presentation and ceremony awards (1 week). 5) order the food for the event (30 minutes. bagels were ordered and picked up). 6) prepare mission materials and other materials to give out (2 hours). 7) Host event (2 hours). 8) follow up thank you emails from event (1 hour). The target is to have the event planned and completed in 3 weeks. It was done on time. However, it is not as accurate as I also work on other events and community details while planning a thank you event. I would need to combine all predicted events and things I am working on to find an accurate estimate of completion and if it will be done on time. There was not one action that was more important than others. Each was needed for customer experience.
