You will develop a learning design and methods manual on a clothing company for which you developed your needs assessment. Be creative and informative in the design of the manual.
Here are the criteria for the learning design and methods manual. Use Chapter 5 as a guide.
Part 1 of the manual - The Training Design
a) Provide a summary of the selection and preparation of the training site.
b) Provide a summary of the process taken to choose the trainers.
Part 2 of the manual – Train the Trainer
Provide information for the trainer to make the training site and instruction conducive to learning. Include these sections:
a) Creating a Learning Setting
b) Preparation
c) Classroom Management
d) Interacting with Trainees
e) Dealing with Disruptive Trainees
f) Managing Group Dynamics
Part 3 of the manual - The Methods
a) Provide a list of learning theories that will be used and summarize why they fit the training to be provided.
b) Provide a summary of how the trainees will gain feedback and why this is important to their learning.
c) Provide a list of the internal and external conditions for the trainees for this training.
Part 4 of the manual – The Program Design
a) Provide the purpose of the training.
b) Provide the goal of the training.
c) Define the audience by their learning characteristics and learning style types.
d) Design the time, methods, and checkpoints.
e) Define the length of the program.
f) Provide the content, training time, and the problems and opportunities.
g) Provide three learning objectives. List and name any prerequisites.
h) Provide a list of the resources used.
i) Provide a topical outline.
j) Provide the administration and evaluation methods to be used.
