Lisa lives next to a vacant plot that belongs to Carol. Carol has never visited the plot in the last 20 years during which period, Lisa has taken care of it by fencing the plot and mowing the grass. If this continues, Lisa will be able to claim ownership of land based on adverse 

possession. Now that lisa owns both her plot and carol's plot of land, lisa decides to demolish her house and build a bed and breakfast. Mayone, a guest at the bed and breakfast, leaves her bag in the checkroom with an attendant. When she returns a few hours later, she finds her bag missing, the attendant on another duty, and a new sign outside the checkroom stating "Goods left at owner's risk."

Can Marjone recover damages from the hotel for loss of her bag? And what rule will be apply?
