Over the past two decades there has been an increase in the hiring of temporary workers. (See the link for "The Disposable Worker" in the notes. The contingent or temporary workers have been hired for a variety of purposes including labor cost savings and as a tryout for permanent employment. Another group that uses a tryout for future permanent employment are interns doing internships. How do you feel about the hiring of temporary workers?
