In this assignment, you will provide an overview of the trait model of personality in which you identify at least one principal theorist associated with the model. Compare and contrast the basic assumptions of this model and the psychodynamic model of personality. Describe the difference between healthy and unhealthy personalities as they are explained in the two models. Use your researched as well as this week's required resources to support your statements.

The trait theory of the personality believes that the individual personalities are composed of certain combination of the personality traits. Trait model of personality is peculiar in the sense that is more concerned with the relative assessment of the personality traits of the people. It is concerned with the difference in the attitudes of the people.
Gordon Allport’s trait’s theory of personality:
Gordon characterized that the human beings personalities consists of certain basic personality traits. They are nothing but groups of numerous behavioral and response patterns. Gordon’s classification is a three level grouping of the personal traits.
Cardinal traits, central traits and secondary traits are the three different types of the personality traits of the human beings. Cardinal traits are the features that develop late in the life.
