Assignment

Issues with the common law of contracts gave rise to the need for the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), which has now been adopted, at least in part, by every state in the United States. Identify two issues with the common law of contracts that have been addressed by the UCC, and explain what changes to the common law of contracts were made by the UCC to address those issues. Did the changes made by the UCC resolve the issues?

For this assignment, search the Online Library and the Internet for two examples of issues with the common law of contracts addressed by the UCC.

This scholarly activity is not intended to ask about business affected by the UCC; rather, it asks you to talk about provisions of the UCC that were intended to address issues already existing in common law. You May limit the scope of the question to issues regarding the formation of contracts.

In a two-page paper, describe the details of those issues and how the UCC addressed the issues.

You must support your answers to the required statements above with facts from a minimum of three sources.

Use correct APA formatting when writing your paper, including in-text citations and references.
