The speed of light (c = 300,000 km/s = 3.0 × 105 km/s = 3.0 × 108 m/s) is the maximum speed in the Universe. The average distance between the Sun and the Earth is defined as 1 AU (Astronomical Unit) which is equivalent to 1.5 x 1011 m. How long does light take to travel from the Sun to the Earth? Hint: calculate the value in seconds, and then convert to minutes. Please show your work and use units in your equations. Using exponents is the easiest way to express large numbers.
