Question 1.1: Looking at the Histogram, what would you say about the shape of the distribution of compressive strengths?  Do the compressive strengths seem to be distributed symmetrically about the mean or are alloys with relative large or small expense ratios?  Does there seem to be alloys with unusually low or high compressive strength?

-This compressive strength graph is a symmetric graph, it seems to be distributed symmetrically about the mean. There seems no alloys with unusually low or high compressive strength, but it seems has outlier on the left side and right side.

Question 1.3:  Produce a histogram of the "compressive strength" distribution with five class intervals. Right click on the Title and modify it to reflect your option that you have used five intervals. Enter an appropriate title for this modified Histogram.  Copy it to your report and write a short note. You could also change the font, size, color, etc.  Play with it, without getting overboard!

Question 1.4: Produce a histogram of the "compressive strength" distribution with the midpoints at 27.5, 32.5, 37.5, 42.5, 47.5, 52.5, 57.5, 62.5 67.5 (midpoints must be at equal intervals). Include an appropriate title, copy to your report and write a short note about this histogram.

Question 2.1:    Write a short note on the important measures of center and variability.  Simply reporting the values is not sufficient. You need to provide your interpretation and what these values mean in the context of the problem.

-The center is 45.5, the minimum is 28.7, the maximum is 67.2. The standard deviation is 7.669, the mean is 45.502. Q1 is 40.875, this is mean the median of the lower half. Q3 is 50.0, this is mean the median of the upper half.

Question 2.2:  Twenty-five percent of alloys have a compressive strength more than how many psi?
 
Question 3.1: Write a detailed and comparative report on the franchise cost of the three types of hotels.  Again, simply listing minitab output without proper and complete interpretation will not get you much credit.  You are expected to write a "comparative report" and not just list the properties of each data set.

Comparing the cost of hotel as a percentage of total room revenue for chains of these three different types room, center of midrange is the biggest, budget is smaller than that of midrange and first class.
