The healthcare industry is a highly regulated environment. There have been many recent changes in the healthcare system due to the implementation of the ACA, the final HIPAA provisions, and the final version of the Mental Health Parity Act. There have also been changes in Maryland state regulations such as the approval of the new Medicare waiver for hospital reimbursement in the state, and new Medicaid provisions for long-term care providers. Choose one recent regulation change, and reflect on how it will affect your organization. You may want to ask around to see what your organization’s leaders think.
