The new century has been the golden age of "big box" retailing as the major chains have kept building bigger and bigger stores with more and more goods crammed under one roof. But now that may be changing. Wal Mart and Best Buy have decided that the big box formula isn't working for them anymore and that they will build smaller stores in the future.
