Global prices are driven by exchange rates. The price of inputs whose relative prices were also in part determined by exchange rates were important in determining a grower's overall net return per acre. Yet the impact of the relative prices of each input was not the same on the overall demand. Each input had its own demand just as almonds had its own demand.
