Purpose:

The purpose of this Discussion Board assignment is to have you research sport team logos for their design elements (Description of the image of the logo), discover the logo's historical background and symbolism, and to explore the significance of these images to the people in the communities where the sport teams are located.

You must complete a minimum of a 400 word essay. Be certain you are detailed and comprehensive in your responses to the questions of the assignment. You will be graded on the detail and comprehensiveness of the content you present.

How to proceed:

1) Decide on a sports team logo to research and explore from the list provided below.

2) Give a brief description of the logo using the terms of the elements and principles of design.

3) Complete research into the historical significance of the image of the logo. Where was the logo first used?
