Rachel Nolan surveyed her employee schedule for In a Day Drycleaners. She was having trouble keeping labor costs down while meeting demand. In a Day Drycleaners guarantees to have their customer's clothes cleaned within 24 hours. This means that their drop-off locations and cleaning facility must be staffed 7 days a week. The business has extended hours to permit their customer to drop off and pick up clothes early in the morning and later on their way home. THe management has worked out a deal with employees in which they work four consecutive days of 10 hours long and then get off three consecutive days. Base pay is $10 per hour. Hours worked on Saturday earn a 25% premium and hours worked on Sunday earn a 50% premium.
