For epidemiology, there are important policy implications with regard to whether a test should be "set" to identify all with a disease or condition; or "set" to identify all without it. The perfect test would of course do both. A 100% percent sensitive test would identify all with the disease, while a 100% specific disease would identify all without it. Most tests are not 100% sensitive or specific, and therefore result in false positives and false negatives. Using a specific example of a disease or condition, state whether you believe the test for that disease or condition should be 100% sensitive or specific, and the implications for false negatives and false positives for that disease.
