A home (volume = 1000 m3) built in 1946 has urea formaldehyde insulation, which outgases into the home at a rate of 5 ng/hr. Air in the home is replaced with clean outside air at a flow rate of 500 m3/hr. Assume that formaldehyde does not react and is not removed by deposition to surfaces in the home. What is the steady state concentration (C) of formaldehyde in the home (concentration after a long time has passed)?
