A 72 kilogram water skier is being accelerated by a ski boat on a flat lake. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the water surface and the skier's skis is .25.

(a) Find the skier acceleration if the rope pulling the skier behind the boat applies a horizontal tension force of magnitude of 240 Newton to the skier.

(b) Find the skier horizontal acceleration if the rope pulling the skier exerts a force of 240 Newton on the skier at an upward angle of 12 degree.

(c) Describe why the skier's acceleration in part (b) is greater than that in part (a)
