Consider a game of billiards. The cue ball has an initial speed v0 before it strikes the eight ball which was previously at rest. After the collision, the cue ball moves o at an angle of 30 dergees to the right of its initial path and the eight ball moves o at an angle of 60 degrees to the left of the cue's ball's initial path. Find the nal speeds of both the cue ball and the eight ball, assuming that the collision was perfectly elastic and that the masses of the two balls are the same. Neglect friction and any rotation of the balls.
