A block of mass 2.5 kilogram starting from rest falls a vertical distance of 75 centimeter before striking a vertical coiled spring. As a result of this contact the spring is compressed a distance X from its original length when the block comes momentarily to rest. The spring constant for the spring is 4000 N/m

A. Find the Distance that the Spring is compressed?

B. After the block is momentarily at rest, the spring will return to its equilibrium position and eject the block back into the air. Find the Speed of Block when it is a distance of 50 cm above the end of the spring?
